The Directorate organizes, conducts and coordinates activities in the field of health promotion and disease prevention. Conducts research in the field of public health. Analyzes, evaluates and monitors the health status of children, students and the entire population in order to determine priorities in the field of risk behavioral factors, human resources, the quality of medical care, the impact of extreme weather events and more. Implements campaigns, training seminars, publication of information materials related to health promotion and disease prevention, including HIV / AIDS and sexually transmitted infections. The Directorate participates in the development, coordination and implementation of national policies, programs and plans for health promotion and disease prevention.Participates in the analysis of health policy, as well as in the accreditation process of medical institutions through training of experts. Participates in working groups at national and international level. Provides expert, consultative and methodological assistance to RHI, medical and health institutions.
