There is a tendency to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables and reduce the seasonal difference said to the BNR Prof. Veselka Duleva, Head of Food and Nutrition Department at the NCPHA. "Our latest data from 2014 show that there is a much higher consumption of fruits and vegetables in the summer-autumn period. The difference in consumption across seasons is about 20-30%. The most active age group is from 30 to 60 years of age. If about 64% of the population consume fruits every day during the winter-spring season, they are 92% in the summer. The average daily consumption of fruit and vegetables is 400 or more grams.
